Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd — Terms and Conditions

1. Services Provided

Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd offers professional automotive interior upholstery and trimming, as well as marine upholstery services. All work is carried out to a high professional standard using materials compliant with relevant UK safety and flammability regulations.

2. Payment Terms

A 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking and order materials.
The deposit becomes non-refundable once materials are ordered.
The balance is due upon completion of the work and must be paid before the vehicle or item is collected.
Accepted payment methods: cash or bank transfer only.

3. Cancellations

Cancellations are accepted. However, if materials have been ordered or if cancellation results in a loss of income due to lack of time to rebook another client, the deposit will not be refunded.
Once work has started, no refunds will be issued.

4. VAT

Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd is VAT registered (GB470383295).
All quotes and invoices are exclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.
VAT will be charged at the current UK rate at the time of invoicing.

5. Timeframes

Estimated timeframes are given whenever possible — typically around 10 working days for standard upholstery work.
However, these are estimates only and not guaranteed.
Work may take longer if unexpected issues are discovered once upholstery is removed (for example, damaged foam, corroded seat frames, or hidden repairs).
These unforeseen circumstances are outside of our control and may affect completion time.

6. Materials and Compliance

All materials used by Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd comply with automotive, marine, and contract upholstery standards, including the flammability requirements under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 and BS AU 169a:1992 for automotive use.
Equivalent or higher standards apply to marine and contract upholstery materials.

7. Warranty

All work carried out by Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd is covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of completion.
This warranty covers defects clearly caused by poor workmanship.
It does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused by customer use or misuse

  • Issues arising from materials supplied by the customer

8. Customer-Supplied Materials

If a customer provides their own materials, these will be inspected prior to use.
If a material is deemed unsuitable or unfit for purpose, Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd reserves the right to refuse its use.
The company accepts no responsibility for the quality, appearance, durability, or performance of customer-supplied materials.

9. Storage

Customers are asked to collect their vehicle or item within five (5) working days after being informed that work is complete.
After this courtesy period, storage charges may apply.
Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd will not be held responsible for damage or loss occurring during extended storage beyond the agreed time.

10. Liability

Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd will not be held responsible for loss of personal items left inside vehicles or items before or during work.
The company’s liability is limited to the value of the work carried out and does not extend to indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Agreement

By booking work with Oreham Vehicle Upholstery Ltd, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
